Members of the IGBO bowling family, past and present, who have recently died will be recognized by the International Gay Bowling Association (IGBO) with a special slide show tribute at the upcoming Midyear tournament in Oklahoma. This will be an annual feature of the event.
If members of the Windy City Pride and Chicago Pride leagues have names of friends they would like to have included, the membership committee is eager to receive them. Information needed includes:
Send the names of those you’d like included to firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, Nov. 6 for this year’s presentation. Those received later will be included in next year’s presentation.
This project is separate from IGBO’s “No Names” project honoring members of the IGBO family who have been lost to HIV/AIDS. “In Memoriam” will be a tribute to those lost due to any cause, including HIV/AIDS.

Talk to Sally Hodge to learn more about IGBO’s fall Mail-In Tournament, which will be held over two consecutive weeks in October: Oct. 10 and 17.
IGBO (International Gay Bowlers Assn.) members from around the world participate, and Windy City Pride is often represented in the top scorers for the money. These have included Bill Brown, Rick Camacho, Tommy Leinweber and Nikki Roesner.
The best three of six scores during those two weeks of play are what count. All you have to do is pay – beforehand – and bowl (preferably well) to get in. Bowlers have the option of participating in the scratch and/or handicap categories. Entry fee for each is $10.
IGBO usually holds Mail-In Tournaments in the fall, spring and summer. They help raise funds for the IGBO annual conference and tournament set for May 23-28, 2018 in Denver.
Congratulations to Justice League on winning “Last Bowler Standing”
